About
Agarwood Papua

Agarwood is a type of wood that comes from several species of trees from the genus Aquilaria. Aquilaria malaccensis is the main source of gaharu (agarwood) as known as oud, a wood-shaped spice product with fragrant resin. This production of resin is unique because it must be stimulated by parasitic mold infection of the ascomycetes group that walls dark cells. This cell wall color is responsible for the color of infected agarwood.
